About the Role:
Our client, a growing Retail Distribution company, is seeking a hands-on and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
The role will oversee the accounting team and manage end-to-end accounting processes, while partnering closely with Finance and business leaders to support operational and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with BIR, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage reconciliations, audit requirements, and coordination with external auditors.
- Establish and strengthen accounting controls, policies, and processes.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key accounting metrics.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
- Partner with Finance and Operations teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is highly preferred.
- 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within Retail, Distribution, FMCG, or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience managing accounting teams and end-to-end accounting operations.
- Strong experience in month-end closing, financial reporting, audit, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Willing to be based in Batangas.
