About the Role
The Senior Accounting Associate plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting needs of clients. This role goes beyond transactional work—you'll help ensure clean books, reliable reporting, and efficient financial processes for growing businesses.
You'll work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders, supporting areas such as bookkeeping, bill pay, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Execute month-end and year-end close processes accurately and on time
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to support client decision-making
- Maintain clean and organized audit trails and financial documentation
- Monitor and support cash flow tracking and billing processes
- Collaborate with internal teams on financial reviews, reporting, and process improvements
- Serve as a point of contact for clients on bookkeeping and financial-related inquiries
- Review work of junior team members and provide guidance to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Perform other tasks as directed by management
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4–6+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, ideally within a US accounting firm
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Proven experience handling end-to-end bookkeeping (AP, AR, reconciliations, and close)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients
- Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with a team
