The Opportunity
As a Senior Accountant, you will own equipment COGS accounting end-to-end for a NYSE-listed US Health & Wellness franchisor with 3,000+ studios across 49 states and 30+ countries.
You will operate at the intersection of cost accounting, GL, and lease/revenue accounting, driving accuracy and independence in a lean, fast-paced finance team.
This role offers direct exposure to US finance stakeholders, positioning you to own your function within 2–3 months of ramp.
What You'll Do (Ownership + Execution)
- Own equipment COGS accounting end-to-end booking monthly invoices, recording expenses, managing the full cycle (this is the core of the role)
- Handle ASC 842 lease accounting
- Support ASC 606 revenue recognition (lighter workload once NetSuite Advanced Revenue Module goes live)
- Perform general GL work- journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close
- Catch and resolve discrepancies independently, escalating only what truly needs escalation
- Work hands-on in NetSuite as the primary system of record
- Use Excel heavily for analysis and reconciliation support
- Partner directly with US stakeholders with clear, proactive, upward and downward communication
- Operate independently in a lean, sometimes ambiguous environment — ask the right questions early, then run
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of experience with strong hands-on COGS/cost accounting background (non-negotiable)
- Hands-on NetSuite experience - must have booked entries directly, not just reviewed reports
- Strong general GL foundation- journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close
- Solid US GAAP or IFRS knowledge
- Strong Excel skills
- ASC 842 and/or ASC 606 practical exposure (nice to have)
- Coupa familiarity (nice to have)
- CPA certification or actively studying (nice to have)
- Energy, accountability, and independence- this client hires for attitude as much as skill
- 6+ hour overlap with US time zones required
