Senior Accountant

Location: Clark, Philippines
Work Arrangement: Remote, Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PHT
Salary Range: Php 95,000 - Php 159,000

As a Senior Accountant, you are a critical technical engine for our partners. This role is designed for a professional who has moved beyond basic data processing and is ready to take full ownership of a diverse array of complex entity structures and specialized reporting. Utilizing a modern accounting tech stack, you will focus heavily on Xero ledger command, multi-entity financial statement compilation, and comprehensive compliance reporting to deliver precise, senior-ready financial packages.

Your Impact

  • Financial Statement & GL Mastery: Formulate and draft accurate financial statements and structural working papers for multi-entity clients, including Companies, Trusts, and Partnerships. Lead general ledger maintenance and manage fixed asset registers to bring complex accounts to a clean Trial Balance stage.

  • Confidents GST & BAS Management: Review, analyze, and reconcile GST balances confidently. Take end-to-end ownership of the preparation and processing of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).

  • Multi-Entity Tax Preparation: Prepare draft income tax returns for a wide variety of structures, including Individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, and Companies, ensuring strict alignment with regulatory taxation benchmarks.

  • Advanced Tax & Strategic Compliance: Support the team with the preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns and assist with preliminary tax planning initiatives to maximize client outcomes.

  • Digital Ecosystem Mastery: Serve as a power user of Xero and XPM, handling bank reconciliations and digital file management. Leverage modern accounting tools such as Active Workpapers to organize documentation and track files seamlessly.

  • SMSF Compliance Support: Provide fundamental operational support for Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) compliance tracking and reporting workflows utilizing CLASS software systems.

  • Clear Stakeholder Communication: Maintain professional, high-quality verbal and written English communication with management and internal teams, ensuring technical file queries, statuses, and data gaps are clearly articulated.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:2 to 3 years of dedicated Australian taxation and public practice experience (New Zealand experience is also highly valued). You possess a proven track record of handling end-to-end accounting compliance cycles.

  • Employment Stability: A stable professional employment history, with a demonstrated commitment of staying with a company for at least 18 months per tenure.

  • Core Technical Skill Set: Advanced proficiency in using Xero and XPM, with a strong ability to confidently reconcile GST accounts, process payroll, and prepare clean financial workpapers.

  • Communication Prowess: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the clarity and confidence required to document and discuss intricate financial queries.

  • The Nice-to-Haves: Prior hands-on experience using Active Workpapers, some functional exposure to Class Super software, or a background processing FBT returns and assisting with active tax planning is a major competitive advantage.

  • The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related financial discipline; intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel data skills are required.
