DESCRIPTION:
Join our finance team as a Senior Accountant, where you'll contribute to financial excellence and support our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The Financial Accounting Team is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial reporting processes. The team plays a critical role in safeguarding the company's financial integrity and providing reliable data for decision-making.
In this role, you will take ownership of the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including the balance sheet and income statement, ensuring reliable and timely reporting. You will manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations, while maintaining strong oversight of financial data integrity.
You will ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements and proactively monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Working closely with internal and external auditors, you will support audit activities and ensure proper documentation for all financial records.
As a senior team member, you will drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across accounting operations. Through cross-functional collaboration, you will help strengthen financial controls and ensure consistent, high-quality financial reporting.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy plus 7+ years of experience in RTR accounting
- CPA preferred
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QAD, or similar)
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS or GAAP)
- Experience with variance analysis and flux monitoring
- Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports and reconciliations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with month-end close processes and journal entries
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
