Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting internal and external audits. This role will also involve process improvements, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with [US GAAP/IFRS].
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external regulations.
- Support statutory, tax, and audit requirements across multiple entities (if applicable).
- General Ledger & Reconciliations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Review and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts for accuracy.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
- Business Support & Analysis
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, HR, etc.) to provide financial insights.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate with external auditors for interim and year-end audits.
- Maintain documentation to support audit and compliance reviews.
- Strengthen and enforce internal controls over financial reporting.
- Help develop best practices and training materials for the accounting team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- 47+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of [US GAAP/IFRS] and accounting best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience in multinational companies is a plus.
