Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant 2 is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations for a U.S. based organization, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting. The role oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, performs account reconciliations, supports month-end close processes, and prepares financial statements and supporting schedules.
Job Description:
• Record and classify financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online.
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records in accordance with established accounting practices.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account reclassifications.
• Review financial records to identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, and reconciliation issues.
• Maintain organized supporting documentation for accounting activities and reporting requirements. Accounts Payable Management
• Manage accounts payable activities, including processing approximately 250–300 vendor invoices and bill payments monthly.
• Process vendor payments through Bill.com and maintain accurate vendor records.
• Review accounts payable transactions for accuracy and completeness.
• Resolve payment-related discrepancies and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
• Maintain accounts receivable records and reconcile customer accounts.
• Perform bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate reconciliation discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrections.
• Ensure account balances are accurate and properly supported.
• Complete month-end close activities and support timely financial reporting.
• Prepare Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting requirements.
• Support CPA reviews, audits, and other financial compliance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiencies.
• Support automation initiatives and accounting system improvements when applicable.
• Collaborate with U.S. CPAs, controllers, business owners, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, vendor, and company information.
Qualifications:
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting activities.
• Experience performing reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR management, and month-end close activities.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
• Proven ability to independently investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
Screening Criteria:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Experience handling AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Experience in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Must have stable employment history.
