Senior Accountant (Project-Based / Solar Industry)

Salary: $200 $250 per week
Nova NRG is a fast-growing solar and home services company looking for a Senior Accountant with strong experience in accrual accounting and project-based businesses.
This is not a basic bookkeeping role. We need someone who understands revenue recognition, job costing, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting for a growing sales organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage accrual accounting and ensure proper revenue recognition after project completion
- Handle project-based accounting, including job costing and profitability tracking per project
- Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts
- Manage QuickBooks Online and financial system integrations
- Produce and analyze monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Track deal-level profitability, including revenue, costs, commissions, and margins
- Manage 1099 contractor payments and year-end reporting
- Build financial dashboards and management reports for leadership
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and revenue recognition
- Experience in construction, solar, or project-based accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Experience managing 1099 contractor accounting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes
