Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after the probationary period. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment, enjoys building financial systems from the ground up, and can independently manage multiple accounts with precision.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience with client onboarding, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights for non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Lead client onboarding processes, including setting up accounting systems and workflows
  • Maintain and troubleshoot client books using QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Analyze financial data and present clear, actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant financial regulations
  • Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
  • Collaborate with clients to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency
  • Handle ad hoc financial reporting and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience with progression into a senior-level role
  • Proven experience in client onboarding within accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online), including setup and troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting principles
  • Experience preparing financial statements and communicating financial insights to non-accounting stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
