Key responsibilities
- Prepare for month-end activities by ensuring compliance with cut-off dates and the completeness of all team entries.
- Maintain the accuracy of balance sheet transactions and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Align the team's efforts with the strategic objectives established by senior management when setting short-term goals.
- Identify and evaluate complex issues within the area of responsibility and suggest possible solutions.
- Responsible for notifying stakeholders about risks and recommending action plans as necessary.
- Proactively suggest opportunities for process improvement and standardization across regions.
- Support both external and internal audits.
- Offer guidance and training to junior team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a shared services environment and at least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Experience with account reconciliations.
- Audit experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. SAP, Blackline) and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word).
- Oracle experience is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Fluent English language communication skills required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
