What is the job

The Senior Accountant (GL) is responsible for managing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. This position is ideal for an independent and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end closing activities, including the preparation of accrual entries and reclassification/adjustment entries.

• Prepare monthly schedules and reconcile them to subledger reports to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing records for financial transactions.

• Prepare and manage CIT, VAT and WHT filings.

• Prepare month-end financial and management reports while adhering to local accounting standards.

• Prepare month end financial and management reports and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.

• Perform review of monthly and YTD performance and provide analysis to optimize performance and profitability.

• Liaise with auditors in the annual financial audit process.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy, accounting, finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of five (5) years as an Accountant.

• CPA and non-CPA applicants are encouraged to apply.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including knowledge of financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and compliance with accounting standards.

• Knowledgeable with Local and International accounting standards.

• Proficient with using accounting software and tools.

• Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset to be able to analyze and interpret data, apply mathematical concepts to solve complex problems.

• Must have stable employment history.
