We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant – Fund Accounting to support real estate fund operations, financial reporting, and accounting processes in a fast-paced remote environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong US GAAP knowledge, fund accounting experience, and hands-on exposure to Yardi systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly fund work papers and supporting schedules
- Prepare monthly financial statements for real estate funds under various accounting bases, including US GAAP historical cost
- Maintain supporting schedules for:
- Depreciation and amortization
- Straight-line rent calculations
- Right-of-use asset calculations
- Other fund and property accounting requirements
- Maintain accurate books and records for real estate funds
Entity & Payment Management
- Manage books and records for managers and general partner entities
- Process fund and entity payments accurately and on schedule
Audit & Tax Coordination
- Work closely with independent auditors during annual audits
- Coordinate with tax teams to maintain tax basis books and work papers
- Assist with year-end processes including 1099 preparation and reporting
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience in Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
- Experience working with real estate funds preferred
- Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager
- Exposure to Yardi Fixed Asset module and Investment Accounting Software
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote setup
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
