Role Overview:
Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate
financial records and ensuring the integrity of all accounting transactions. This role covers end-to-end
accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end
closings, and preparation of financial reports. The position also ensures compliance with accounting
standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Responsibilities
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation for all accounting activities.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other departments to ensure accuracy
across all accounts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting procedures.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as required by management
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is an
advantage).
• 3+ years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (GAAP or IFRS).
• Proficient in accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP tools.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or support U.S. time zones if required.
