Job Description

Connext is looking for a Senior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting for a multi-unit U.S.-based consumer services business. This role is ideal for someone with strong general ledger experience, hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise, and proven skills in reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and accounts payable/receivable processing.

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions across multiple business units.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.
  • Strengthen internal controls and policies to ensure the integrity of all financial information.
  • Coordinate and lead audit processes, liaise with external auditors, and prepare audit schedules.
  • Conduct complex account reconciliations to prevent discrepancies.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of QuickBooks Online experience.
  • Must have a stable employment history.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs or challenges.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Clear and coherent written and verbal communication skills in English to explain complex financial information.

Schedule: 10 PM – 7 AM PHT | Monday – Friday
