The Senior Accountant 2 is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the dealership. This includes preparing monthly financial statements, analyzing the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with dealership guidelines and manufacturer requirements.
Job Description
Prepare monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer's format and time frame.
Continuously interpret and analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Keep the dealer, corporate staff, and managers informed of financial trends, potential problem areas, and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain loss reserves for contingent liabilities and trade receivables.
Oversee general accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Utilize MS Excel to create financial reports, analyze data, and present findings to management.
Required Qualifications
Experienced in general accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Highly proficient in using MS Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and use advanced functions.
Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately track and analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, and identify discrepancies.
Meticulous attention to detail for maintaining accurate financial records, producing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Screening Criteria
Bachelor's degree in accountancy.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in general accounting experience.
Must have a stable employment history.
