The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee's buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.
Job Description
- Lead and Acquisition Efforts: Proactively identify, prospect, and acquire new business opportunities to support Shopee's growth objectives, with ownership of assigned pipelines and targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Seller Operations, Relationship Managers, and Key Account Managers to ensure a seamless and efficient seller onboarding and post-acquisition handover.
- Seller Onboarding Support: Guide and support sellers throughout the onboarding process, ensuring documentation, compliance, and platform requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Adapt to Change: Embrace an agile working environment with a readiness to adapt to new priorities, processes, and market conditions.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Deliver regular updates on acquisition performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 46 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related commercial role, preferably within the e-commerce, marketplace, or tech industry.
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition, deal execution, and relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
- Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
- Experience with seller or partner onboarding processes is a strong advantage.
