Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Security Engineer based in Houston, Texas USA. . In this role, you will beresponsible for safeguarding our cloud infrastructure, applications, and customer data. You will workclosely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to implement robust security controls, ensurecompliance, and strengthen our overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Implementation
Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP environments).
Implement security controls across networks, applications, APIs, and microservices.
Conduct threat modeling and architecture reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
Monitoring & Incident Response
Manage security monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Investigate security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
Risk Management & Compliance
Perform vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts.
Conduct secure code reviews and collaborate with development teams.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
Maintain documentation to support audits and security reviews.
Collaboration & Training
Partner with cross-functional teams to embed security throughout the SDLC.
Provide guidance and security awareness support across teams.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent
experience).
3+ years of experience in security engineering or cybersecurity.
Hands-on experience with cloud security, IAM, encryption, firewalls, WAFs, and SIEM tools.
Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure development practices.
Preferred
Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or similar).
Experience in SaaS, telecommunications, VoIP, or cloud communications environments.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
