ROLE SNAPSHOT
Shift: Night / Graveyard PHT
Type: Full Time; Independent Contractor
This position is responsible for analyzing efficiency opportunities and implementing automation within Security Operations. The candidate will review operational processes, identify areas where automation can be applied, and develop proof-of-concept solutions.
All outputs must be supported by metrics, with measurable efficiency gains tracked and reported.
The role involves working closely with stakeholders involved in phishing detection, brand abuse monitoring, cyber threat analysis, and related cybersecurity domains. Strong foundational knowledge in these areas is required.
The candidate must understand automation capabilities such as API integration and device emulation. Python is the primary development language, with additional tools such as Fortra's Automate RPA used depending on requirements.
The role also requires engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and provide accurate time estimates. On-call support is required to assist with application issues outside of standard working hours when needed.
KEY DUTIES
- Develop scripts and applications using Python and Automate RPA
- Analyze data and operational processes to identify automation opportunities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and provide time estimates
- Develop rapid proof-of-concept solutions to validate ideas
- Produce performance metrics demonstrating automation impact and efficiency gains
- Monitor applications and troubleshoot errors as needed
- Provide on-call support for critical application issues outside business hours
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science OR 2–3 years of software development experience
- 4–5 years of data analysis experience using SQL
- 4–5 years of scripting experience in Python
- 3–4 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry
PREFERENCES
- Experience with Selenium or similar automation testing tools
