About the Role : The Section Manager – Store System Support is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of store systems and technologies. This includes managing POS systems, monitoring IT infrastructure, coordinating with vendors, training staff, and ensuring that all store systems support retail operations effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
System Operations & Maintenance
- Supervise daily operations of store systems (POS, inventory management, ERP, etc.).
- Ensure system uptime, reliability, and quick resolution of technical issues.
- Coordinate with IT teams and vendors for system updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Process & Workflow Support
- Monitor integration of store systems with sales, inventory, and finance functions.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks to improve operational efficiency.
- Document processes and ensure compliance with company standards.
Staff Training & Support
- Train store staff on proper use of POS and other retail systems.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as the first point of escalation for system-related issues.
Data & Reporting
- Ensure accuracy of system-generated reports (sales, inventory, transactions).
- Analyze system data to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of store data.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with IT security protocols and data protection policies.
- Monitor system access and safeguard against unauthorized use.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail system support or IT operations.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, retail software, and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
