Job Summary
We are looking for a data-driven Search Engine Specialist to own and accelerate our organic and paid search acquisition channels. In this role, you won't just track keyword rankings; you will build, test, and optimize search strategies designed to drive measurable customer acquisition and revenue growth.
You will collaborate closely with content creators, web developers, and data analysts to turn search intent into high-converting customer journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Growth-Driven Strategy & Keyword Discovery
- Intent Mapping: Move beyond high-volume keywords to identify high-intent, long-tail search terms that signal a strong readiness to buy or convert.
- Competitor Poaching: Analyze competitor search footprints to identify content gaps, backlink opportunities, and paid search vulnerabilities we can capitalize on.
- Algorithmic Adaptability: Stay ahead of search engine updates, including AI-driven search experiences like Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), to ensure continuous visibility.
On-Page, Technical & Paid Search Execution
- Content Optimization: Work with editorial teams to structure content that demonstrates deep authority and effectively answers user intent.
- Technical Health: Collaborate with web developers to maintain optimal site health, prioritizing mobile-first indexing, schema markup, and fast page-load speeds.
- SEM/PPC Integration: Manage and optimize paid search budgets (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads) to maximize return on ad spend and lower customer acquisition costs
Conversion Optimization & Testing
- Funnel Alignment: Ensure search landing pages are strictly aligned with the user's initial search query to prevent high bounce rates.
- A/B Testing: Run continuous experiments on meta titles, descriptions, page layouts, and calls-to-action (CTAs) to turn search traffic into active leads or sign-ups.
Analytics & Revenue Attribution
- Performance Monitoring: Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush to track critical growth KPIs.
- Revenue Reporting: Provide cross-functional teams with data showing how organic and paid search metrics correlate directly with sales pipeline growth and customer lifetime value.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience managing SEO/SEM campaigns, preferably within a fast-paced agency or B2B/SaaS growth-stage environment.
- Track Record: A portfolio demonstrating measurable growth in organic traffic that led to clear revenue or lead conversion increases.
- Growth Mindset: High tolerance for testing, failing fast, and scaling wins.
- Technical Skills: Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Ads Manager, Google Search Console
