Discovering the role

Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations across the SEA region, including AR, AP, FA, GL, tax compliance, month-end closing, financial reporting, revenue recognition, audit readiness, and achievement of key financial performance targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Issuance of invoices and monitor and follow up outstanding Accounts Receivable.
  • Analyze job revenue vs invoices to speed up invoicing and minimize unbilled.
  • Investigate and solve account payable issues in cooperation with other dept, such as purchasing
  • Assist in preparation and review of tax filings related to local and cross-border transactions for SEA
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Strategize and execute tax planning initiatives to optimize tax savings while adhering to legal standards.
  • Assist in all tax related inquiries, audits, and assessments when necessary
  • Monitor the submission of mandatory finance and tax related reports to government agencies as required
  • Coordinate with external auditors, ensure timely submission of requirements, and complete audits by due date.
  • Job progress follow-ups, analysis, and confirmations with project/service delivery teams
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and Job Profitability Analysis.
  • Liaise with banks, tax agents, and the corporate secretary as needed from time to time.
  • Implement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform any other ad hoc accounting duties that may be assigned from time to time by the line manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and month-end closing.
  • Experience in tax compliance, including indirect taxes and cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis.
  • Experience supporting external audits and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across regional teams.
