Job Description:
General Accountability:
Leads Agile Development squads with autonomy and accountability across several projects/platforms
Responsibilities:
- Supports 1-2 teams on a single backlog
- Coaches different levels of hierarchy through agile principles & practices. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills able to push back
- Proactively provides real-time feedback to keep delivery on track and address issues as they arise. Facilitates resolving impediments or blockers and escalates where necessary
- Is a coach, facilitator, and leader who reinforces target agile behaviors, help improve delivery performance, and satisfaction
- Sets up and facilitates Agile ceremonies and processes
- Facilitates the adoption of agile principles & practices
- Helps educate the squad on Agile practices and identifies Agile Team improvement opportunities
- Focuses squads on value creation
- Facilitates and actively participates in Agile events
- Identifies obstacles to team performance; facilitates resolution and escalates where necessary
- Identifies opportunities to increase feature velocity
- Greater positive impact to specific organizational entities
- Able to quantify impact of work to demonstrate value
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- At least 2-4 years with experience as a Scrum Master delivering complex technology solutions
- Strong working knowledge of key aspects of role
- Staying abreast of developments in own technical discipline and able to recognize and translate these to own working environment
- Possesses analytical skills and appreciates complex situations to achieve resolution
- Scrum Master certification
- Working knowledge of business intelligence, business process, and/or correspondence management platforms and integrating systems via API/web services is preferred
- Knowledge of Agile planning and tracking tools
- Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
