Job Description

We are seeking a highly accomplished and forwardthinking Privacy Engineering leader to join our team as Senior AVP Data Privacy. This role will be responsible for driving product innovation and execution in critical areas including data anonymization, synthetic data generation, and privacy risk mitigation.

Core Function:

1. Privacy by Design

  • Operationalize privacy principles and data handling requirements across the organization.
  • Manage data deletion and lifecycle processes in coordination with engineering and governance teams.
  • Integrate privacy requirements into infrastructure, data flows, and product features.
  • Drive process optimization and automation to streamline governance workflows and strengthen privacy controls.
  • Maintain and enforce privacy documentation, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Support regulatory and compliance reporting (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST, FCA, data subject requests, employee access reviews).

2. Privacy Enhancing Technology

  • Lead the roadmap and engineering of privacyenhancing technologies:
  • Advanced anonymization
  • AIdriven synthetic data generation
  • Reidentification risk assessment
  • Data utility and fidelity optimization
  • Develop and maintain highquality, scalable software solutions.
  • Act as scrum master and product owner for Data Privacy products.
  • Ensure solutions meet industry and regulatory standards while advancing innovation in privacy tech.

3. Engineering Mentorship & Delivery Oversight

  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to engineering teams.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in privacy engineering, security engineering, or a related technical field, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of privacy-by-design principles, data protection engineering, and how to operationalize regulatory frameworks like GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, and emerging global laws.
  • Experience implementing or leading efforts around data minimization, differential privacy, data subject rights, and secure data architecture.
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally with product, legal, compliance, and security teams to align privacy needs with product delivery.
  • Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) and modern engineering patterns for consent, data flows, and access controls.
