SAP Testing Consultant Utility Domain Job Description

Job Summary

The SAP Testing Consultant in the Utility domain is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of SAP solutions supporting utility business processes. This role focuses on testing SAP IS-U Utilities solutions across billing, invoicing, meter-to-cash, device management, and customer service processes, working closely with functional, technical, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements related to utility operations such as Billing, Invoicing, and Customer Management.

• Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for SAP Utility solutions.

• Perform various testing types including Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Test integrations between SAP and external systems, and legacy billing systems.

• Log, track, and manage defects through closure using defect management tools.

• Support data migration testing, cutover, and go-live activities.

• Collaborate with business users and support teams during UAT cycles.

SAP Modules & Utility Knowledge

• SAP IS-U (Billing, Invoicing, Device Management, Meter Reading)

• Integration with SAP CRM

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of utility industry business processes.

• Experience in SAP testing within the Utility domain.

• Knowledge of SAP IS-U Utilities functionality.

• Ability to create comprehensive test documentation.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
