SAP Solutions Lead for Supply Chain Management - Hybrid Setup

The SAP Solutions Lead for Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for driving the strategic and technical leadership of SAP SCM solutions across the full lifecyclefrom pre-sales engagement and solution architecture, through project delivery, to quality assurance and governance. The primary objective is to deliver innovative, scalable, and value-driven finance solutions using SAP (including S/4HANA), tailored to meet customer business goals. This role bridges business understanding and technical expertise to ensure excellence in client delivery, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and sustainable digital finance transformation.

Responsibilities

Presales and Solution Design

o Lead pre-sales activities including requirements discovery, solution conceptualization, RFP/RFI responses, demos, and customer workshops.

o Design comprehensive SAP SCM solutions tailored to client-specific business needs and industry best practices.

o Work closely with sales and account teams to develop winning strategies, proposals, statements of work (SoWs), pricing and value propositions.

o Translate business requirements into high-level solution architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Delivery Execution and Leadership

o Lead and oversee the successful delivery of SAP SCM projects, ensuring alignment with the defined architecture and customer expectations.

o Develop and manage project plans, deliverables, timelines, and team coordination throughout the implementation lifecycle.

o Guide and mentor consultants and client stakeholders through blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

o Serve as the escalation point for finance-related project delivery issues.

o Act as a strategic advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle.

o Perform project delivery tasks such as requirements gathering, blueprinting, testing, data migration, training, until deployment to production and post go-live support, as necessary.

Quality Assurance and Governance

o Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and frameworks for SAP SCM delivery across projects.

Conduct architecture and design, configuration, and code reviews to ensure compliance with SAP best practices,

solution integrity and client expectations.

o Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

o Ensure comprehensive documentation, testing standards, and user enablement practices are adhered to.

Client and Stakeholder Management

o Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders (e.g., SCM Directors, Procurement Heads, Plant Heads),

understanding their strategic objectives and aligning SAP solutions accordingly.

o Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and long-term partnership

success.

Skill Development Planning

o Assess team skills and gaps across core SAP SCM domains (e.g., S/4HANA SCM, MM, PP, WM, EWM, SD, IBP, QM).

o Define individual development plans (IDPs) aligned with project needs, team career growth, and evolving SAP technologies.

o Prioritize upskilling in emerging SAP tools and methodologies, such as SAP Fiori, and SAP Activate.

Knowledge Sharing and Mentoring

o Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions on solution design, industry best practices, integration strategies, and functional innovations.

o Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert (SME) for junior and intermediate consultants.

o Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned workshops to foster continuous improvement and team learning.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.

o 11+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on SAP SCM.

o Proven track record of leading multiple full-cycle SAP Finance implementations, including S/4HANA.

o Minimum 3 years of presales experience responding to RFPs, creating solution designs, and presenting to senior clients.

o Extensive experience in project delivery leadership and quality assurance within SAP programs.

o Deep expertise in SAP SCM modules: MM, SD, WM, EWM, PP, PM, IBP, QM.

o Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA innovations.

o Understanding of SAP integration with SAP FI/CO modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, CO-PC).

o Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Activate, and solution documentation tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager).

o Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.

o Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and team management capabilities.

o Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams across complex engagements.

Preferred:

o Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) in Finance, Information Systems, or Business Strategy.

o SAP certifications in S/4HANA SCM.

o Experience working in consulting environments or system integrators.

o Exposure to industry-specific SCM processes (e.g., services, manufacturing, retail, public sector, energy and utilities).

o Knowledge of complementary SAP tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BW/4HANA, or BPC.

o Experience with cloud-based ERP deployments, hybrid landscapes, and system migrations.
