Business Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Conduct interviews and meetings with key business users and stakeholders
- Analyze current financial and controlling business processes and workflows
- Identify gaps, pain points, and areas for process improvement
- Validate requirements with stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Maintain clear traceability between business needs and system design elements
Blueprinting, Solution Design & Functional Specifications
- Translate business requirements into detailed SAP FICO solution blueprints
- Design end-to-end financial and controlling business processes and workflows
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within SAP FICO
- Ensure solution design aligns with SAP best practices and organizational policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solution design with other SAP modules
- Validate and review solution designs with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Continuously analyze system performance and recommend process optimizations post-go-live
SAP FICO System Configuration
- Configure the SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules to meet specific business requirements, ensuring optimal alignment with business processes.
- Perform unit testing of configuration changes and document the settings
- Prepare and transport configuration settings from development to quality and production environments
Integration with Other SAP Modules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP FICO with other modules and external systems.
- Validate cross-module financial postings
- Participate in integration testing (end-to-end scenarios) to confirm data consistency and process flow
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inter-module data transfer and reconciliation
- Maintain documentation of integration points, configurations, and test results
- Support process improvements to enhance integration efficiency and accuracy
Testing & Quality Assurance & Support
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts covering all SAP FICO processes
- Coordinate and conduct Functional testing (FT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) with business users
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issue resolution without side effects
- Maintain test documentation and obtain formal sign-offs from stakeholders
- Support end-users during UAT by providing guidance and troubleshooting
End-User Training & Support
- Prepare end-user documentation and manuals.
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops
- Support UAT and user onboarding during go-lives
- Resolve user-raised incidents or tickets (L1–L2 support levels)
Project Go-Live & Support
- Develop and execute cutover plans (system setup, user readiness)
- Coordinate go-live activities across functional and technical teams
- 95% completion of cutover tasks as per plan
- No critical issues pending before go-live
- No financial posting failures in the live system
- No disruption to core business operations due to SAP FICO issues
Post-Go-Live Support & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor system performance and business process stability immediately after go-live
- Provide immediate post-go-live user support and issue resolution
- Track and manage incident tickets and change requests arising post go-live
- Identify and implement system improvements based on user feedback and operational needs
- No unplanned downtime or critical issues related to FICO module post go-live
- No audit non-compliances reported
SAP FICO End-User Support & Training
- Resolve end-user issues within defined SLAs.
- Minimize user downtime and business disruptions.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues.
- Provide guidance on best practices and SAP usage.
- Reinforce training where necessary.
- 95% of user tickets resolved within SLA
- 2 per year number of quick refresher sessions or 1:1 user training sessions delivered
