Job Description

We're looking for a hands-on SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 Developer who can create high-quality custom UI5 applications and deliver seamless integrations using SAP Gateway OData services.

What you'll do

  • Develop and enhance custom SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 applications using MVC architecture (ModelViewController) and UI5 best practices.
  • Work on OData integrations, including OData Binding and Smart Controls, for scalable and maintainable UI5 applications.Consume SAP Gateway OData Services in UI5 development (nice to have / add-on).
  • Integrate solutions with SAP and non-SAP backends, ensuring robust data exchange and UI responsiveness.
  • Perform debugging and runtime analysis, apply SAP Notes, and support technical troubleshooting in complex landscapes.
  • Create and maintain delivery artifacts such as Technical Specifications, SPS documents, Unit Test documents, and ensure delivery within requested SLAs (as per project needs).
  • Contribute to code reviews, engineering standards, and collaborative delivery (including pair programming where applicable).
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs and improve usability and adoption.

Must-have skills

  • Hands-on expertise in SAP Fiori & SAPUI5 custom development.
  • Strong knowledge of OData integrations, including binding patterns and UI5 data models.
  • Web development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, plus exposure to jQuery, JSON, XML, AJAX, SVG and libraries like D3.
  • Strong documentation and delivery discipline (specs, test docs, code review readiness).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written English) and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good to have

  • Experience consuming Gateway OData services for UI5 development.
  • Exposure to Fiori Launchpad configuration concepts (roles/catalogs/semantic objects) and UI5 configuration artifacts like manifest.json and Component.js.
  • Experience in SAP Portal.
