SAP FICO Senior Consultant - AA

We are looking for a Senior SAP FICO Consultant with strong, specialized expertise in Asset Accounting. The ideal candidate has led or participated in end-to-end asset lifecycle configuration – from capitalization to retirement – across multiple depreciation areas and legal entities, and has been part of at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation (2020 release or later), including experience with the New Asset Accounting (FI-AA) architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead design, configuration, and support of SAP New Asset Accounting (FI-AA) in S/4HANA, including chart of depreciation, asset classes, depreciation areas, and valuation methods.
• Configure and maintain asset master data, capitalization thresholds, low-value asset (LVA) handling, and asset under construction (AUC) settlement processes.
• Design and support parallel valuation (e.g., local statutory, tax, and group/IFRS books) using multiple depreciation areas and ledger approaches.
• Manage period-end and year-end asset accounting processes: depreciation runs, asset transfers, retirements/disposals, impairments, and revaluation.
• Support integration of Asset Accounting with FI-GL, Controlling (CO), and Investment Management/Capex
• approval processes, including store fit-out and CAPEX-heavy retail asset scenarios (leasehold improvements, store equipment, fixtures).
• Lead reconciliation of asset sub-ledger to GL, and support statutory and tax audit requirements related to fixed assets.
• Lead or support SAP S/4HANA (2020 and above) implementation and migration activities for Asset Accounting, including legacy asset data migration/upload, blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover, and hyper care.
• Prepare functional specifications for asset accounting enhancements, interfaces, and reports; coordinate with ABAP/technical teams on RICEFW objects. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 6–8 years of SAP FICO experience, with at least 4 years focused primarily on Asset Accounting (FI-AA).
• At least 1 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation (2020 release/version and above), including exposure to New Asset Accounting.
• Hands-on experience with multiple depreciation areas / parallel valuation (local GAAP, tax, and group reporting).
• Experience with asset data migration (legacy asset upload, opening balances) during ECC-to-S/4HANA or greenfield implementations.
• Working knowledge of CAPEX/fixed asset processes relevant to a retail environment (store fixtures, leasehold improvements, equipment rollouts across multiple locations). 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• SAP S/4HANA New Asset Accounting (FI-AA): chart of depreciation, asset classes, depreciation areas, valuation.
• Asset transactions: acquisition, transfer, retirement/disposal, AUC settlement, depreciation run
• (AFAB/RAPOST2000 successor jobs).
• Integration with FI-GL (Universal Journal), CO, and Investment Management.
• Asset data migration tools and legacy asset upload methods.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori apps for asset accounting (e.g., Manage Fixed Assets, Asset History Sheet).
