Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Professional Services / EPPM Lead to drive the design, configuration, and delivery of Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) and Professional Services solutions within SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition transformation programs. This role is central to enabling project-centric business processes — spanning customer project management, internal project management, resource management, project billing, and revenue recognition — for organizations in consulting, outsourcing, engineering, and related professional services industries.
Key Responsibilities
- EPPM & Professional Services Module Ownership: Lead end-to-end ownership of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud EPPM and Professional Services scope, including customer project management, internal project management, project billing, time recording, sales order processing, event-based revenue recognition, and service & material procurement.
- Business Process Design: Lead fit-to-standard workshops and process design sessions covering the full project lifecycle — from project creation and work breakdown structure (WBS) definition, work package staffing, resource assignment, time and expense recording, billing plan maintenance, through to period-end closing and project profitability analysis. Ensure adoption of clean core Public Cloud principles with clearly documented gaps and extensions where required.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Sales, HR, and Procurement teams to ensure accurate project financials, period-end processing, and compliance with governance requirements. Facilitate client workshops, solution presentations, and design decision reviews across project stakeholder groups.
- Configuration and Solution Delivery: Lead configuration and deployment of EPPM and Professional Services capabilities, including project definition structures, WBS elements, financial planning and budgeting, resource planning, time confirmation, cost capture, billing processes (fixed price, time & expense, periodic, usage-based), and integration with Finance and Controlling. Manage delivery milestones across planning, design, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare phases.
- Resource Management Configuration: Configure and maintain resource management settings, including mapping resources to resource types, defining role types, and maintaining planning settings. Support integration with SAP Project and Resource Management on SAP BTP where applicable.
- Integration Management: Manage integrations between Professional Services / EPPM and adjacent SAP solutions, including SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (for employee master data and staffing), SAP Fieldglass (for contingent workforce management), and SAP Sales & Distribution (for sales order and billing document creation).
- Revenue Recognition: Oversee event-based revenue recognition (EBRR) configuration and monitoring for fixed price, time & material, and periodic service project types, including period-end closing postings and revenue recognition issue management.
- Team Development & Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members on EPPM and Professional Services engagements. Contribute to the development of reusable delivery assets, methodology improvements, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
