SAP Business Analyst FI / Asset Accounting

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst – FI / Asset Accounting to support SAP Financial Accounting processes with a strong focus on Asset Accounting within SAP S/4HANA. This role will work closely with finance and IT stakeholders to improve fixed asset processes, general accounting, integrations, and SAP functionality.

The ideal candidate brings strong SAP FI-AA experience, a solid understanding of core financial accounting processes, and the ability to translate business requirements into practical SAP solutions.

AS A SAP BUSINESS ANALYST, YOU WILL:

• Be responsible for analyzing, designing, and supporting SAP Financial Accounting processes with a focus on Asset Accounting.
• Partner with finance and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient SAP S/4HANA solutions that support asset lifecycle management and general accounting processes.
• Analyze business requirements related to Asset Accounting and translate them into SAP S/4HANA solutions.
• Configure and support SAP FI-AA (Asset Accounting) modules.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to improve fixed asset processes (capitalization, depreciation, retirement, etc.).
• Support general accounting processes and integration points with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, CO).
• Participate in system testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Investigate and resolve production issues related to FI-AA functionality.
• Document functional specifications, configurations, and process flows.
• Stay current with SAP S/4HANA capabilities and industry best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as an SAP FI Business Analyst with focus on Asset Accounting.
• Strong understanding of core FI processes (GL, AP, AR).
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA (preferred or exposure).
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle accounting and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with integration across FI, CO, and logistics modules.
