We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS professional to take on the role of Environment Manager at the Manager level. This role is critical in overseeing the technical landscape for SAP S/4HANA implementations, ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep BASIS expertise, and experience managing complex SAP landscapes and project environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the SAP BASIS team in managing the technical landscape for SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Oversee system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch management across SAP environments.
- Manage SAP environments across development, quality, pre-production, and production systems.
- Define and implement environment strategy, including refresh cycles, transport management, and cutover planning.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure system availability, performance, and compliance.
- Support RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, and SAP BTP deployments and integrations.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, job scheduling, and interface stability.
- Ensure adherence to change management, incident management, and release management processes.
- Provide technical leadership during go-lives, disaster recovery drills, and system audits.
- Mentor junior BASIS consultants and contribute to technical knowledge sharing and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1012 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration, with at least 3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP S/4HANA system architecture
- SAP HANA database administration
- Transport Management System (TMS)
- SAP Solution Manager / Focused Run
- Experience with SAP on Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP BTP.
- Familiarity with SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) and SAP Maintenance Planner.
- Strong understanding of clean core principles, system extensibility, and technical upgrade planning.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Certified Technology Associate SAP S/4HANA System Administration.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Life Sciences, Banking, Utilities).
- Exposure to DevOps, automation tools, and monitoring platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
Educational Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
