About The Role
Your primary focus will be BAU support for all SAP Application landscape in addition to designing & supporting SAP architecture ensuring landscape design follows best practice.
The Candidate Will Need To
- Provide SAP BASIS support and administration such as:
- Incident management
- SAP Database and patching maintenance
- Management of scheduled tasks
- Documentation updating and Application management
- Provide SAP Basis support and coordinate Basis requirements for projects with other infrastructure teams
- Manage backups and disaster recovery
- Oversee all change projects related to the SAP landscape including
- Assist in development & enhancement requests
- Manage SAP environments within agreed tolerances
- Manage SAP Security within SAP applications including security role build, manage & support all user related SAP security incidents.
- Manage all technical responsibilities related to upgrades, support packs, and OSS note applications
- Monitoring, Troubleshooting and resolving SAP application and database integrity and performance issues
- Assist SAP functional system analysts & project teams.
- Performance Tuning using appropriate monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Providing proactive guidance and mentoring to the other BASIS members in the team
- Provide on-call based support for Priority based incidents
About you
You are an excellent communicator with demonstrated knowledge of SAP BASIS Administration skills including HANA DB support.
The Candidate Will Need To Have
- At least 10 years SAP Basis work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of AIX/Linux/Windows Operating environments
- SAP Business Objects administration skills
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and database concepts relevant to SAP environment
- DB2 & SQL & HANA experience
- Demonstrable SAP experience in:
- SAP applications Support & Maintenance
- SAP Installations
- SAP Upgrades
- System / Environment Refresh/ copy
- Performance Tuning
- Security (User/role maintenance)
- Applying Patches, Backup and Restore
- Capacity Planning
- Troubleshooting & Resolution of Technical issues
- High Availability Systems and Disaster Recovery
- Technical specification writing and documentation skills
- Demonstrable experience in SAP Technologies, including but not limited (on-prem & cloud):
- S/4HANA, Netweaver, ECC6, BW, HANA, Business Objects, IDM, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, Gateway, FIORI, PI Systems
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a high achieving team
- Ability to work in a 24X7 support (oncall based support) environment
