Job Description
The Salesforce Engineer designs, builds, and supports scalable Salesforce solutions that enable business operations and strategic objectives. This role focuses on keeping the Salesforce platform reliable, efficient, and easy to use, while integrating with other enterprise systems as needed. Working closely with Product and Senior Management, the Salesforce Engineer translates requirements into well-designed solutions that improve user experience and deliver measurable business value.
- Design, build, and support Salesforce applications, components, and integrations.
- Configure and customise Salesforce environments to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design and manage data models to support reporting, analytics, and data integrity.
- Manage configuration and release processes, including deployments, version control, and change tracking.
- Investigate and resolve application issues to maintain system reliability and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and integrate solutions within the wider enterprise architecture.
- Develop and maintain automation and lifecycle processes for development, testing, and deployment.
- Plan and execute testing strategies, including both automated and manual testing.
- Document system designs and technical solutions in a clear and practical manner.
- Continuously improve development practices, tools, and standards.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members through documentation, training, and collaboration.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using:
- Apex
- Visualforce
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Aura Components
- Configure and customize Salesforce features:
- Objects, fields, validation rules
- Workflows, Process Builder, Flows, and automation
- Build and maintain integrations with external systems using:
- REST / SOAP APIs
- Web services and middleware tools
Qualification And Requirements
- Bachelors degree (any course).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong, practical experience with:
- Visualforce, Aura, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Apex Classes, Triggers, and Test Classes
- Declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, automation)
- Proven experience integrating Salesforce with external APIs / REST / SOAP / 3rd-party systems.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills (must be able to explain and defend technical decisions).
- Experience working on enterprise-level Salesforce solutions.
- Salesforce certification is a plus but hands-on technical ability is required.
- Amenable to working in Makati under a remote setup.
Essential
Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
- Proven experience in Salesforce engineering or development roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration, customisation, and integrations.
- Practical experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP/Bulk).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture, data modelling, and data management principles.
- Experience working with SDLC practices, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and release management tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Copado, Gearset).
- Ability to design, build, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems and platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile and/or DevOps ways of working.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Clear communicator, comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams.
Desirable
- Salesforce certifications (e.g. Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, Application Architect).
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Provar, or similar.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure concepts (e.g. AWS, Azure) and modern design patterns.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers or business users.
