Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using platforms like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Deployment & Release Management: Manage the end-to-end release process, ensuring stable, automated deployments across sandbox, staging, and production environments using Salesforce DX (SFDX) and Metadata API.
  • Source Control & Quality Gates: Enforce version control standards (Git branching, pull requests) and integrate static code analysis (e.g., PMD, SonarQube) to ensure code quality.
  • Environment Strategy & Automation: Develop and maintain environment strategies, including scratch org management and data management, and automate testing (unit tests, regression testing).
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor release KPIs (deployment success rate, lead time) and troubleshoot deployment or build failures.
  • Collaboration & Governance: Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to define DevOps strategies, establish best practices, and improve release governance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Management, or Salesforce Platform Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce DX (SFDX), Metadata API, and Salesforce deployment methodologies.
  • Strong experience with Git-based source control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce development lifecycle management and deployment strategies.
  • Experience implementing automated testing and quality assurance practices.
  • Knowledge of static code analysis tools such as PMD, SonarQube, CodeScan, or equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting deployment, integration, and environment-related issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in Agile and Scrum environments.
