Position Overview
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will play a key role in architecting, developing, and optimizing the Salesforce platform—particularly Salesforce Health Cloud and related solutions—to support internal operations, client engagement, and population health initiatives.
You will leverage deep technical expertise to design scalable, high-impact solutions that unify member data, automate workflows, and adapt to evolving healthcare and business needs. This role combines hands-on development with strategic input on platform architecture and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development & Architecture
- Design, develop, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and APIs
- Architect and implement integrations with external systems (e.g., EHRs, data warehouses, claims systems, analytics platforms)
- Configure and enhance Salesforce Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related technologies
- Develop and maintain scalable data models supporting member, provider, and plan data
Automation & Workflow Optimization
- Build automation using Flow Builder, Flow Orchestration, Apex triggers, and batch processes
- Streamline processes such as onboarding, care gap tracking, communications, and reporting
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation
Technical Leadership & Best Practices
- Establish and enforce development standards, code quality guidelines, and best practices
- Ensure solutions align with platform security features such as encryption and event monitoring
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize system performance
- Mentor junior developers, administrators, and cross-functional team members
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Data, Analytics, QA, and Client Services teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and deliver iterative improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Security & Compliance
- Ensure platform security and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Implement robust access controls, audit trails, and governance frameworks
- Apply encryption and data protection best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, LWC, SOQL, and integrations
- Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or strong interest in healthcare workflows and data
- Strong expertise in API-based integrations (REST/SOAP), ETL tools, and third-party systems
- Proficiency with Salesforce development and deployment tools (CI/CD, Git, Sandboxes, Change Sets, Salesforce DX)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Health Cloud Consultant, Integration Architect)
- Experience with MuleSoft, Salesforce Shield, or Marketing Cloud
- Knowledge of CDPs and Big Object strategies
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and interoperability
- Experience in health tech, population health, or related domains
- Background in data analytics, AI/ML integrations, or predictive modeling
- Exposure to prompt engineering or AI-driven automation
