Job Description
Job Profile Summary
Gallium31 is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our technology delivery team and support a leading enterprise life insurance client. The role will design, develop, enhance, integrate, test, and support Salesforce solutions used across customer, adviser/distribution, sales, servicing, and digital insurance journeys.
You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA Engineers, Integration Teams, DevOps, Security, and other technology stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on Salesforce engineering capability with experience delivering secure, scalable solutions in a highly governed enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Salesforce Development
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flow, Custom Metadata, Platform Events, and asynchronous processing.
• Build reusable components and services that can support multiple customer, adviser, distribution, and servicing journeys.
•Apply Salesforce development best practices including bulkification, governor-limit awareness, transaction handling, maintainable design patterns, and secure coding.
• Perform code reviews, technical troubleshooting, performance optimization, defect remediation, and production issue investigation.
2. Salesforce OmniStudio
• Design and build guided digital experiences using OmniStudio, including OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures.
• Integrate OmniStudio components with Apex services, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Develop reusable OmniStudio components and optimize implementations for performance, maintainability, and user experience.
• Support digital journeys such as customer onboarding, financial advisory, insurance sales, customer servicing, policy related servicing, lead management, and adviser workflows.
3. Customer & Distribution Digital Enablement
• Develop Salesforce capabilities for lead and prospect management, customer 360, customer portfolio management,
adviser workflows, lead routing, opportunity management, customer lifecycle management, and servicing.
• Build automation that improves customer engagement, adviser productivity, and distribution operations.
• Support customer lifecycle capabilities such as segmentation, engagement triggers, task routing, retention, cross-sell/upsell, and next-best-action where applicable.
4. Salesforce Integration
• Design and develop integrations between Salesforce and enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, asynchronous Apex, batch processing, middleware, and other approved integration patterns.
• Support integration with policy administration, customer information, payment, document management, identity and access management, notification, portal, distribution, and data platforms.
• Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, retries, idempotency, logging, monitoring, and performance controls.
5. Salesforce Configuration & Automation
• Configure custom objects and fields, record types, Lightning pages, validation rules, Salesforce Flow, permission sets, sharing rules, role hierarchies, reports, dashboards, and custom metadata.
• Use a configuration-first approach where appropriate, introducing Apex/LWC custom development when required by complexity, performance, scalability, or integration needs.
6. Security, Governance & Architecture
• Implement object-level, field-level, and record-level security using permission sets, profiles, sharing rules, role hierarchy, and appropriate authentication/authorization controls.
• Apply secure development practices when handling customer, policy, financial, adviser, and personally identifiable information.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise security, data privacy, technology risk, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architects to ensure reusability, scalability, resilience, maintainability, interoperability, and alignment with approved integration patterns.
7. DevOps, Testing & Release Management
• Use Git-based source control and participate in branching, merge/pull requests, code review, automated deployments, CI/CD, environment management, release planning, deployment validation, and production verification.
• Develop meaningful Apex unit tests and support component, integration, regression, SIT, UAT, and production verification activities.
• Support releases across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
Required Technical Skills:
• Salesforce Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Salesforce OmniStudio: OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures
• Salesforce Flow and declarative automation
• SOQL / SOSL and Salesforce data modelling
• REST API integration and enterprise integration concepts
• Salesforce security model and access control
• Git / source control and CI/CD concepts
• Governor limits, bulkification, Apex design patterns, asynchronous processing, and transaction management
Qualifications & Experience
• 3-5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce OmniStudio.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating Salesforce with external enterprise applications.
• Experience with Salesforce Flow and declarative automation.
• Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle in Agile delivery teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into secure and implementable technical solutions.
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise client stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams.
Preferred Experience
• Life Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
• Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or Sales Cloud.
•MuleSoft or equivalent middleware / enterprise integration platform.
• Event-driven architecture, microservices, enterprise API management, or cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Salesforce DevOps tooling such as Copado, Gearset, or equivalent.
• Large-scale Salesforce transformation programs and complex enterprise integrations.
Preferred Salesforce Certifications
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (strongly preferred)
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
• Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer / Consultant
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
• Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I
Insurance Domain Knowledge
Previous life insurance or financial services experience is highly desirable. Candidates with exposure to customer onboarding, adviser/distribution journeys, policy servicing, insurance sales, customer engagement, policy administration integrations, and digital servicing workflows will have an advantage.
