About the Role

The person in this role is a crucial participant of our mission to improve doctors wellbeing. As an engineering Chapter Lead, this person brings their software development and people leadership experience to solve problems for our customers, to lead, grow and inspire our people, and build engaging culture. This role also champions the chapter's adoption of agentic AI on the Salesforce platform (Agentforce) and the use of AI-assisted, agentic practices in day-to-day work.

What you'll do

People leadership and salesforce capabilities

  • Provides ongoing coaching, mentoring and feedback to the members of Salesforce chapter, ensuring continuous growth and development.
  • Supports career growth for the members of the Salesforce chapter.
  • Conducts performance evaluation, with the focus on continuous feedback, for the members of the engineering group.
  • Identifies capability gaps and proposes ways to close them, including capability uplift in key Salesforce technologies, Agentforce, and agentic practices.
  • Hires, onboard and offboards engineers.
  • Facilitates conflict resolution.
  • Communicates strategy, change and opportunities.
  • Facilitates guilds and craft development activities, including an AI / Agentforce community of practice.
  • Monitors the market to gain knowledge and understanding of currently emerging technologies and suggests new tools and frameworks.

Salesforce leadership

  • Provide clear direction, goals, and priorities for the Salesforce team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  • Ensure proper configuration, customization, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform to meet business needs.
  • Lead the design, build, deployment and governance of Agentforce agents that augment workflows.
  • Establish guardrails, evaluation practices and observability for Agentforce.
  • Identify opportunities to apply agentic AI on the Salesforce platform to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and accelerate sales and service processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on Salesforce best practices, new features, and updates.
  • Provide leadership during business service incidents and outages.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize Salesforce functionality and enhance sales processes.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to align Salesforce initiatives with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies in Salesforce usage.
  • Implement data governance practices to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Foster open communic=ation channels within the team and across departments for effective collaboration.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and sales efficiency.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Renew, renegotiate, or terminate contracts as necessary.
  • Look for opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality

Product discovery and delivery

  • Discovers customer's needs, designs, implements and tests solutions to customers needs.
  • Selects and uses the tools to clarify, test and improve user experience.
  • Collaborates with producteers and designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure that software solutions enable business strategy and growth.
  • Investigates and resolves complex problems in technical and business domains.
  • Presents complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Contributes to business decisions. Ensure proper configuration, customization, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform to meet business needs.
  • Influences technical roadmap based on business needs. Analyses business risks of technical decisions.
  • Designs, implements and maintains feedback loops in order to improve the value delivered in our products.
  • Gathers data and evidence to make better product decisions.

  • Champions agentic coding practices across the chapter: using AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to scaffold, refactor, test and review Apex, LWC and Salesforce configuration.
  • Establishes patterns for safe and effective use of AI. Seeks feedback and experimentation, to improve oneself, team, and the business.
  • Collaborates remotely with peers and stakeholders.
  • Contributes to blameless post mortem review of issues and incidents.

  • Experience designing and shipping Agentforce agents: topics, actions, Atlas reasoning, Prompt Builder, and grounding via Data Cloud or Skills and Competencies external knowledge sources.
  • Working knowledge of agentic coding workflows using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
  • Understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and practical experience setting up or consuming MCP servers to connect AI agents to internal systems (Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, internal APIs).
  • Ability and willingness to learn, take on new tasks, explore new tools, technologies and techniques.

What you bring

  • A qualification in a related discipline preferred (such as IT or computer science), or equivalent practical experience.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g. Administrator, Platform Developer, Application/System Architect) preferred.
  • Agentforce Specialist or equivalent AI-on-Salesforce credential is highly desirable.

Qualifications and Experience Knowledge / Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a number of software product teams, with agile software development approach.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in people leadership.
  • Understanding of servant leadership, situational leadership and other leadership frameworks.
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring frameworks and approaches.
  • Knowledge of change management frameworks and approaches.
  • Experience with feedback frameworks and performance evaluation approaches.
  • Experience with conveying inspiring vision of the future. Passionate about people, culture and leadership.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior salesforce leadership role. Hands-on experience with Agentforce (or a comparable agentic AI platform) in a Salesforce context: designing topics and actions, configuring Atlas reasoning and Prompt Builder, grounding with Data Cloud, and shipping agents to production.
  • Demonstrated use of agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in real engineering work including establishing team practices around them.
  • Experience configuring or consuming MCP servers (or analogous AI tool-integration patterns) to give AI agents safe, scoped access to internal systems.
