Job Description

Overview

The Sales Training Specialist role has the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct sales training programs that are aimed to develop and improve personal selling and skills transfer capability, product knowledge for organic and external business partners and provide evaluation on trainings conducted.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis through sales & training audits to provide feedback on sales execution of sales strategies and business standards which shall serve as basis in creating customized training interventions and development of new sales training programs.
  • Create and develop training materials using other mediums of learning such as video training programs and e-learnings to promote continuous skills development and product mastery.
  • The ideal candidate should have a good mix of sales experience in telco/tech/distribution industry, training delivery and Needs Analysis, working knowledge in Social Media and proficiency in creating video trainings.
  • This position is reporting to the Sales Training Manager under the Sales Services Team.

Functions

  • Conduct effective sales training programs that will enable salespeople to improve sales figures and meet sales targets.
  • Conduct Sales Training Audits to gather data that can help understand how effective current sales strategies.
  • Analyze and understand the sales and business processes of organic and external sales partners.
  • Conducts Training Needs Analysis (TNAs) to provide feedback with corrective and preventative training programs.
  • Evaluate conducted training programs by gathering data and feedback from training participants to determine module modification.
  • Continue to monitor salespeople to see which aspects of their performance have improved and which areas still need work.
  • Provide in-person training, which may involve traveling to different locations.
  • Provide training through video clips/modules and the Internet/E-learning to reach as many sales people as possible at the same time.
  • Serve as point of contact of organic business partners for training request and matters which require coordination.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Collegiate degree in business, marketing, psychology, HR or any related course.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Sales Training, Distribution Sales/ Agents Sales/ Key Accounts Sales/Branch Sales/ Corporate Sales.
  • Knowledge in recording and editing digital videos to training modules on video format.
  • Knowledge in using social media FB, Twitter etc.
  • Knowledgeable in usage of Microsoft Products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Training Needs Analysis.
  • Knowledge of (LMS) Learning Management System.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • A working knowledge of business processes and the ability to understand new business processes.
  • The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an inquiring mind.
  • An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
  • A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team
