Job Description

Offshore Sales Team Lead

Full-Time, Australian Business Hours, Remote (Philippines)

Cruise Control Group is seeking a driven and hands-on Offshore Sales Team Lead to lead a Philippines-based sales team for a fast-growing Australian business. This is a key leadership role for someone who combines sales finance know-how with a data-driven approach to coaching, accountability and team performance.

About Cruise Control Group

Cruise Control Group is an Australian offshore staffing company that partners with a range of clients to build high-performing remote teams. We manage the end-to-end recruitment and support process, connecting skilled professionals with roles that offer genuine long-term career growth.

About the Client

Our client is a car subscription company offering flexible, all-inclusive vehicle access as an alternative to traditional car ownership or leasing, looking for an Offshore Sales Team Lead to build and lead their growing Philippines-based sales team.

About the Role

The Offshore Sales Team Lead is responsible for leading the client's Philippines-based sales team so that every enquiry and inbound call is answered and followed up quickly, and every customer put forward for approval meets the client's credit guidelines. You will set the daily standard for the team, track performance against it, hold people accountable, and help recruit and train the team as it grows to approximately eight Sales Consultants. The team operates on a roster of split early and late shifts with weekend cover, supporting customers through to 6:30pm AEST.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and supervise the offshore sales team day to day, growing to a team of approximately eight Sales Consultants
  • Manage the team roster, including split early and late shifts and weekend cover, so inbound calls and new leads are covered through to 6:30pm AEST, including the late-afternoon peak
  • Ensure the team works the full daily volume of approximately 100 new leads plus inbound sales calls, with missed calls and new enquiries followed up promptly
  • Monitor individual and team productivity daily through BI dashboards and the cloud contact centre platform, and act quickly on performance that falls below the minimum standard
  • Review applications with the team and ensure approval recommendations follow the client's credit guidelines, using sound judgement on borderline cases and escalating where needed
  • Listen to call recordings and coach team members to hold proper sales conversations: explaining how the product works, understanding customer needs and guiding them to a suitable vehicle
  • Address attendance, reliability and conduct issues early, working with Cruise Control Group and the client's People & Culture team
  • Take part in recruiting new team members alongside the client's hiring managers, and support group onboarding and training of new starters
  • Report on team performance, call metrics and capacity to the client's Operations leadership, and flag early when resourcing will not cover leave or volume
  • Handle customer escalations and complex enquiries
  • Run monthly team catch-ups on Microsoft Teams and support in-person team events
  • Handle all customer information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as required

Key Result Areas

  • Inbound Call Answer Rate: lift and sustain the team's inbound call answer rate
  • Speed to Lead: new enquiries contacted promptly after receipt
  • Daily Volume: all new leads (approx. 100 per day) and inbound sales calls worked in full
  • Approval Quality: 100% of approval recommendations within the client's credit guidelines, with low arrears on approved accounts
  • Roster Adherence: consistent team adherence to the shift roster
  • Training: new starters trained and signed off promptly after their start date
  • CRM Accuracy: every customer interaction and outcome recorded accurately in the CRM
