Sales Supervisor (Licensing)

About FILSCAP

The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Inc. (FILSCAP) is a non-stock, non-profit collective management organization dedicated to protecting the rights of Filipino music creators. FILSCAP licenses the public use of music and ensures that royalties are collected and fairly distributed to composers, authors, and publishers.

Position Overview

The Sales Supervisor (Licensing) assists the Licensing Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Licensing Department. The role supervises licensing staff, ensures accurate and timely execution of licensing activities, and supports sustainable revenue generation to advance FILSCAP's mission of protecting creators rights.

This position acts as a key link between management and staff, providing guidance, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, approved rate schedules, and applicable industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the work of licensing staff to ensure accurate, timely, and professional licensing operations
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to licensing staff, identifying training needs to improve efficiency and service quality
  • Assist the Licensing Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring departmental goals aligned with FILSCAP's mission and revenue targets
  • Ensure timely license renewals and support efforts to identify and pursue new licensing opportunities within approved frameworks
  • Review and validate licensing assessments, correspondence, agreements, and supporting documents prior to submission to management
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., music users, partners, and industry representatives) to facilitate negotiations and resolve licensing concerns
  • Oversee accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of licensing activities, ensuring databases and monitoring reports are regularly updated
  • Ensure compliance with approved rate schedules, internal policies, and relevant industry practices; recommend process improvements when necessary
  • Support the preparation of reports, analyses, and presentations for management and committee review
  • Assist in audits, compliance reviews, and special projects related to licensing operations
  • Perform other licensing-related duties as may be assigned by the Licensing Manager, General Manager, and Board of Trustees or Committees

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Legal Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in licensing, contracts administration, business development, or a related role
  • Supervisory or team-lead experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of intellectual property, copyright, licensing, or collective management organizations is an advantage
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a mission-driven environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with licensing systems or databases is an advantage
