Job Summary
The Rental Sales Agent is responsible for assisting customers with vehicle rentals, providing exceptional service, and driving sales of rental products and services. This role involves engaging with customers, identifying their needs, promoting suitable rental options, and ensuring a seamless rental experience. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers professionally and assist them in selecting the appropriate vehicle for their needs.
- Explain rental terms, conditions, and pricing structures clearly and accurately.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and reservations efficiently, ensuring high satisfaction.
- Provide information about additional services, such as insurance coverage, GPS, or roadside assistance.
Sales & Revenue
- Promote and upsell additional services, products, and upgrades to maximize revenue.
- Meet or exceed sales targets for rentals, insurance, and other add-on services.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles and services.
Operations
- Complete rental agreements accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required information is captured.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions securely and in compliance with company policies.
- Verify customer credentials, such as driver's licenses, credit cards, and identification, to ensure compliance with rental requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, transactions, and customer interactions.
- Assist in inventory control by keeping track of vehicle availability and usage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth branch operations.
- Provide support during peak hours, ensuring customers are served promptly and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to manage reservations, vehicle returns, and availability
Qualifications
Education: College Graduate (Associate's degree in sales, customer service, or business is a plus).
Experience:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or car rental services is preferred.
- Familiarity with vehicle models, features, and rental policies is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Proven sales and upselling abilities to meet revenue targets.
- Problem-solving skills to address customer issues and complaints effectively.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling transactions.
