Key Responsibilities
1. Underwriting
- Evaluate insurance risks within approved authority limits.
- Ensure risks accepted align with the company's underwriting guidelines.
- Set premium rates, terms, and conditions for engineering products and special accounts.
- Negotiate favorable terms for the company.
2. Policy Issuance
- Prepare complete documentation and working files needed for policy issuance.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of policies and endorsements.
3. Business Development
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, direct clients, and reinsurers.
- Respond to inquiries and support new business generation.
- Monitor brokers requirements and requests.
4. Account Management and Client Servicing
- Ensure timely renewal of existing insurance programs.
- Respond promptly to client concerns and inquiries.
- Prepare quotations and monitor their status.
- Negotiate policy terms and renewal conditions.
5. Collections
- Follow up outstanding premiums and receivables.
- Monitor collection performance of assigned intermediaries.
- Help minimize exposure to consistently delinquent accounts.
6. Reinsurance
- Coordinate facultative reinsurance requirements.
- Maintain positive working relationships with reinsurers.
- Ensure reinsurance submissions and requirements are completed on time.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in any business-related course
- Experience in the insurance industry is an advantage
- For Junior Accounts Officer: At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- For Senior Accounts Officer: At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Willing to work in Makati City and amenable to relocating to BGC, Taguig when the office transfer occurs
