Job Overview

The successful candidate for Sales and Marketing Specialist develops and implements strategies to increase brand awareness, drive sales, and boost revenue. This role involves market research, creating marketing campaigns, managing customer relationships, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with other teams to achieve business goals. They are crucial for bridging the gap between sales and marketing to improve the customer journey and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy development: Develop and execute marketing plans, set objectives, and identify appropriate marketing channels (digital and traditional) to reach potential clients.
  • Market research: Conduct research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Campaign execution: Create, manage, and implement marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, cold calls and advertising.
  • Sales support: Identify and connect with potential clients, build relationships with new customers, and support the sales team with necessary resources.
  • Data analysis: Track and analyze the performance of marketing efforts, including campaign results and conversion rates, to inform future strategies.
  • Content creation: Produce marketing materials, such as presentations, website content, and press releases.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, such as design and content marketing, to ensure cohesive and effective promotional materials.
  • Sales presentations: Demonstrating products or services to potential clients, both virtually and in person.
  • Negotiation: Discussing and negotiating prices, quantities, and contract terms with customers.
  • Meeting sales targets: Working towards and achieving quarterly and annual sales goals.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, Hospitality Management, Communications, Entrepreneurship or a related field is common.
  • Prior experience in a similar sales or marketing role is often preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with specific sales & marketing tactics like SEO, email marketing, cold calls or social media.
