Travel Requirement: Local and occasional international travel as required for client meetings, supplier coordination, site visits, and industry events.
Position Summary
The Senior Sales Engineer – Industrial Machinery (B2B) is responsible for driving business-to-business sales and market growth through consultative and project-based selling of industrial machinery and equipment. The role focuses on developing strategic client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and managing end-to-end sales activities across industries such as manufacturing, construction, food processing, packaging, and related sectors.
This position requires a strong combination of technical understanding, commercial expertise, and relationship management skills to support long-term business growth and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective B2B sales strategies for industrial machinery and related equipment.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence across multiple industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, distributors, contractors, consultants, and industry partners.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions with decision-makers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and negotiate quotations, commercial proposals, pricing structures, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate closely with technical support, after-sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to support strategic business decisions.
- Identify and coordinate with regional machinery suppliers and manufacturers, including partners across Asia, as needed.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, account updates, and performance reports for management review.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, client meetings, and industry networking activities to strengthen market visibility.
- Support business expansion initiatives and contribute to overall revenue growth targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Technical Courses, Business, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within industrial machinery, technical equipment, automation, or engineering-related industries.
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery applications, technical specifications, and commercial processes.
- Proven experience in achieving or exceeding sales targets and handling corporate accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and client management skills.
- Strong communication skills in dealing with professional and corporate stakeholders.
- Willing to travel locally and internationally when required.
