As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and managing client relationships within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions sector. You will play a key role in securing new business and growing existing accounts by delivering tailored event solutions for conventions, exhibitions, and corporate events.
Your main objective is to achieve and exceed revenue targets by understanding client needs and positioning the organisation as a preferred venue and partner for MICE events.
Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the MICE industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships with event organizers, corporate clients, and key stakeholders.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Promote a full suite of MICE offerings, including venue spaces, catering, and integrated event solutions.
Stay informed of industry trends, market movements, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Event Coordination Support
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth planning and execution of events.
Support clients throughout the event lifecycle, from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless event delivery.
Client Relationship Management
Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring expectations and requirements are met.
Conduct site inspections, presentations, and proposal pitches to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms in line with company policies.
Deliver customized event solutions aligned with clients objectives and budgets.
Reporting & Analysis
Maintain accurate sales records, pipelines, and forecasts in the CRM system.
Prepare regular sales performance reports and market insights for management.
Analyse market conditions and competitor activities to support business development strategies.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
1-2 years of sales experience in the MICE, hospitality or travel industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, strategic, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
