Job Description

Job Purpose

The Sales Lead Specialist is responsible for managing, qualifying, and nurturing sales leads to support overall sales growth and pipeline efficiency. This role ensures that all leads are properly handled, tracked, and maintained in Oracle system. The position also involves maintaining an accurate customer database, coordinating with marketing and sales teams, and providing regular reporting and insights to improve lead conversion and customer engagement.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead Management and Qualification
  • Receive and review incoming leads from multiple sources, including email, web inquiries, campaigns, and referrals.
  • Evaluate and qualify leads based on defined criteria, prioritizing those with higher conversion potential.
  • Verify key customer and company details to ensure completeness and accuracy before assignment to the sales team.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all qualified leads to maintain engagement and conversion opportunities.
  • Customer Database Management
  • Maintain an organized and accurate customer and lead database within Oracle system.
  • Update and validate contact and company information regularly to ensure data integrity.
  • Segment leads and customers based on relevant factors such as industry, location, and sales stage.
  • Support data governance practices by ensuring compliance with internal data management policies.
  • Lead Nurturing
  • Maintain consistent communication with leads that are not yet ready to purchase.
  • Share relevant information, updates, or content to keep leads engaged.
  • Track engagement history and progress to determine readiness for sales outreach.
  • Work with the Sales team to transition nurtured leads into active sales opportunities.
  • Sales Pipeline Support
  • Monitor the movement of leads through the sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-up and conversion.
  • Provide updates and visibility to the Sales team on key opportunities and high-potential leads.
  • Coordinate with team members to prevent lead stagnation or loss during the sales process.
  • Maintain clear documentation of lead activities, communication, and pipeline progress in the CRM.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze lead data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for process improvement.
  • Generate regular reports on lead sources, conversion rates, and pipeline performance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of lead generation activities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Present data insights to Sales and Marketing leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration with Marketing
  • Partner with the Marketing team to ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and sales objectives.
  • Share feedback on lead quality and campaign outcomes to improve targeting and generation efforts.
  • Provide insights on which channels and campaigns yield the most effective leads.
  • Participate in planning sessions to optimize lead flow from marketing to sales.
  • Customer Relationship Building
  • Act as the first point of contact for new leads and sales-related inquiries.
  • Deliver professional and informative responses to customer inquiries.
  • Provide relevant product or service information to help prospects make informed decisions.
  • Build trust and establish a positive initial relationship to support sales success.
  • Follow-Up and Reminders
  • Monitor follow-up schedules to ensure leads are contacted in a timely manner.
  • Set and manage reminders for the Sales team to maintain consistent lead engagement.
  • Conduct follow-up communications via email or phone to sustain interest and progress.
  • Track all follow-up activities in Oracle CRM for visibility and reporting.
