JOB SUMMARY:The Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for driving new revenue growthby identifying white space opportunities, expanding dealer networks, and opening new vertical markets. This role focuses on structured lead generation, market expansion, and strategic partnerships. The BDO builds new revenue channels from the ground up and collaborates with Account Managers to convert opportunities into sustainable long-term accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and qualify new dealers, corporate accounts, and non-traditional sales channels
- Develop and manage a structured lead generation pipeline
- Conduct cold outreach, prospecting, and business mapping
- Research and identify white space opportunities (new industries, regions, verticals)
- Generate, present, and negotiate business proposals
- Achieve new revenue targets aligned with company objectives
2. Market Expansion & Strategic Growth
- Identify emerging industries aligned with brand positioning
- Open new territories and vertical markets
- Build strategic partnerships that create long-term value
- Collaborate with Marketing for brand expansion campaigns and launches
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities
3. Commercial & Onboarding Execution
- Negotiate commercial terms in coordination with management
- Support onboarding of new dealers including documentation and initial order processing
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth activation
- Ensure proper transition of new accounts to Account Management
4. Reporting & Intelligence
- Maintain accurate CRM updates and structured lead tracking
- Monitor conversion rates and pipeline value
- Provide competitor insights and market intelligence
- Prepare business development performance reports
- Recommend growth strategies based on data analysis
5. Leadership & Strategic Contribution
- Set and monitor individual BD targets
- Contribute insights for annual forecasting and expansion planning
- Lead and mentorjunior team members
- Provide management with actionable growth recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of any 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 24 years experience in B2B Sales Distribution
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an officer-level or leadership role
- Background in consumer electronics, lifestyle, or fast-moving technology products is preferred
- Proven experience in lead generation and cold outreach
- Strong hunter mentality with resilience to rejection
- Comfortable with nationwide travel and fieldwork
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Highly organized and disciplined in tracking leads
- Strategic thinker, not purely transactional
- Data-driven and proficient in Excel & PowerPoint
- CRM familiarity is a plus
- Driving skills preferred
