SaaS Sales Engineer In a Danish Life Sciences Software Scale-Up

(Remote-first | Copenhagen-led SaaS scale-up | Working hours aligned with EU time zones)

At SimplerQMS, we help life science companies simplify one of the most complex parts of their business: quality and compliance.

Now we're looking for a Sales Engineer who can bridge deep product understanding with real-world customer needs — bring clarity into complex product and compliance discussions.

About the role

This role is part of the Sales team and plays a key role in complex customer evaluations.

You are the product and quality expert in the commercial process.

The person who understands both:

  • how our platform works in detail
  • how real-world QMS processes actually operate

And most importantly — how the two connect.

You will naturally operate across Sales, Product, and Customer Success — not as a coordinator, but as the person who brings the expertise that connects them.

Your strength lies in deep product and domain understanding, enabling you to:

  • translate complex customer needs into real, workable solutions
  • support Account Executives in navigating detailed discussions with clarity
  • provide structured and actionable feedback to Product
  • help customers understand how the solution will work in their specific context

You don't simplify by removing complexity.

You simplify by understanding it better than others.

What you'll be doing

You will play a central role throughout the evaluation process — especially where things become more complex.

Drive deep discovery and solution understanding

  • Lead and support detailed discovery sessions
  • Uncover workflows, requirements, constraints, and decision criteria
  • Structure complex input into clear, actionable insights

Translate needs into real solutions

  • Design and demonstrate how SimplerQMS supports specific QMS workflows
  • Configure and guide trials and proof-of-value activities end-to-end
  • Ensure prospects see not just features — but real applicability

Strengthen solution quality in the sales process

  • Partner closely with Account Executives on complex opportunities
  • Bring clarity and confidence into customer conversations
  • Support RFIs, RFQs, and technical documentation

Own critical pre-sales infrastructure

  • Maintain and evolve demo environments so they reflect real use cases
  • Ensure consistency and quality across demos and evaluations

Create the feedback loop that drives improvement

  • Gather and structure insights from discovery, demos, and objections
  • Feed input into Product and Customer Success
  • Identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities across deals

In practice, you become the information funnel between customer reality and internal teams.

What makes you a strong fit

You are comfortable operating where things are not simple — yet.

You likely bring:

  • Strong understanding of quality management processes (QMS). Experience from a life science organisation is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Experience in a solution-oriented, technical, or pre-sales role
  • Ability to work hands-on with software configuration
  • High attention to detail and ability to structure complex information
  • Confidence in leading both deep-dive and solution conversations

  • You are a self-starter who moves things forward without waiting
  • You take ownership and make decisions when needed
  • You are not afraid of complexity — and don't oversimplify it
  • You enjoy working across teams and creating alignment
