Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Engineer (Aluminum) based in Metro Manila. The role is responsible for selling electric wires and cables to customers in assigned market segment or geographical area. The duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Establish an effective working relationship with the National Electrification Administratoin (NEA) to anticipate and participate in project bids.
- Compiles list of electric cooperatives and aluminum wire end users for use as sales leads, establish effective working releationships and convert them to long term customers.
- Calls on company officials and technical personnel of these entities and convinces them of the desirability and practicability of products offered.
- Meets/achieves the Sales Target for the assigned accounts, with special attention to sales of Aluminum products and related product accessories.
- Prepares documentary requirements for supplier qualitfication/accreditation.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and communicates with customers on delivery dates based on production schedules.
- Ensures timely collection of accounts by personally collecting PDC checks or coordinating with Credit and Collection Department.
- Prepares his monthly 3-Month Rolling Forecast per account per product for submission to PPMC Department.
- Prepares Annual Forecast per account per product group.
- Prepares Monthly Coverage Plan, Weekly Activity Sheet and itinerary report (2x a month) indicating clients called on, purpose and contact details.
- Attends biddings when required and prepares and ensures completeness and accuracy of bid documents.
- Builds and sustains business rapport with customers and promotes the Duraflex brand to end-users utilizing available marketing support.
- Practices established safety and good housekeeping practices in conformance with the established guidelines and policies on Safety, Health and Wellness.
- Establishes, implements, maintains, and/or continually improves, as applicable, the Company's QMS.
- Observes utmost care in the handling including disclosures of confidential information, trade secrets, processes which may, in any manner, be competitive with, or inimical to the Company.
- Performs other relevant duties which may be assigned from time to time by one's superior/s.
Qualifications
- Engineering graduate, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales of technical products in both B2C and B2B environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with team members
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-driven approach
