Job Description

SDR (APAC) – Managed Growth Partners

Fully remote | Covering the APAC market

We're hiring three SDRs: one for APAC, one for the Americas and one for EMEA.

This listing is for the APAC seat.

You'll report directly to me, Ryan Halson, Founder of Managed Growth Partners.

Package: Base salary + commission.

The role

Your job is simple: speak to recruitment agency owners and book qualified meetings.

You're not expected to build your own lists, spend half your day researching prospects or manually updating a CRM.

We've built the infrastructure around the SDR role so you can spend the majority of your time doing the thing that actually matters: getting on the phone and having conversations.

We define the target market, build and enrich the lead lists and we use AI and automation to handle a lot of the research and admin.

We're also investing in content, marketing and paid advertising, so ideally you're not always calling someone who has never heard of us.

Your job is to pick up the phone, start conversations, qualify the opportunity and book the meeting.

You won't be closing deals or writing proposals.

Who we're calling

Our customers are recruitment agency owners and directors, with Australia as the core of this region.

These are experienced salespeople. They spend a lot of time on the phone and they can spot someone reading from a script within about 30 seconds.

So we're not looking for someone who wants to hide behind email sequences or LinkedIn messages.

You need to be comfortable picking up the phone, getting to the point and having a proper conversation with a business owner.

What you'll be doing

  • Making around 80–100 calls per day.
  • Speaking with recruitment agency owners and directors across APAC.
  • Working Australian business hours (AEST). You can be based anywhere, but this is when your market picks up the phone, so this is when you work.
  • Working from lead lists that have already been researched and enriched.
  • Qualifying whether there is a genuine opportunity.
  • Booking qualified discovery calls directly into my calendar.
  • Following up with prospects where needed.

What we'll provide

A lot of SDR roles give you a database and tell you to get on with it. That's not what we're building here.

You'll have:

  • Clearly defined target customers.
  • Lead lists built and regularly updated for you.
  • Prospect research and enrichment.
  • AI and automation supporting the admin and follow-up.
  • Content and paid marketing creating awareness in the market.
  • Direct access to me and the rest of the team.

We're trying to remove as much unnecessary work from the SDR role as possible.

I want you spending your time speaking to prospects, not cleaning spreadsheets.

Who this is for

This will suit you if you genuinely enjoy being on the phone.

You need to be comfortable with volume and rejection. If someone says no, hangs up or isn't interested, you move on and make the next call.

You'll also need to be self-managed.

Remote work gives you flexibility, but it also means nobody is going to sit next to you and make sure you're working. We care about output, not whether your Slack status is green.

Recruitment experience is useful but not essential.

I'd rather hire someone with strong sales ability, work ethic and confidence on the phone than someone with recruitment experience who doesn't want to make calls.

What you get

  • Base salary + uncapped commission.
  • Commission linked to meetings that are booked, held and turn into genuine sales opportunities.
  • Fully remote role.
  • Direct access to the founder and fast decision-making.
  • A properly supported SDR desk rather than being left to figure everything out yourself.
  • The opportunity to own the APAC region as we grow.

We're starting with three SDRs, so there is a genuine opportunity for the right people to grow with the business.

But this isn't the right role for everyone.

If you want a low-volume sales job where most of your day is spent sending emails and waiting for replies, this probably isn't it.

If you're happy making a lot of calls and want a setup where the lists, targeting, research and systems are already in place, you'll probably enjoy it.

How to apply

Don't just send me your CV. I want you to show me you can sell so be creative.

If you want to stand out, call me on WhatsApp.
